The communications center for the Blountstown Police Department is comprised of 7 dispatchers to provide around the clock communication services for the officers.
Investigations:
The CID division of the Blountstown Police Department is comprised of 2 full-time investigators. The investigators rotate on call, each week to assist patrol in daily functions along with callouts for major crimes.
School Resource:
The Blountstown Police Department partnered with Calhoun County School Board to provide a fulltime School Resource Officer to Blountstown Elementary and Blountstown Middle School.
Animal Control:
The Blountstown Police Department also has a fulltime Animal Control Officer who assists the citizens of the City of Blountstown with any animal complaint they may have.
