Green Cove Springs Police Department Services:
Patrol Unit:
The patrol function is the backbone of every traditional law enforcement organization, and that is not different here at the Green Cove Springs Police Department. The Patrol Section officers answer thousands of calls for service yearly.
Canine Unit:
The Green Cove Springs Police Department has acquired a police dog and canine vehicle. The canine unit is expected to be fully operational after training is complete.
Criminal Investigations Section:
The Criminal Investigations Section is comprised of veteran officers who have a natural interest in investigating long and complex cases. Members of the Investigations Section are responsible for investigating the most unsolved felony crimes reported to the department.
Marine Enforcement Unit:
The Green Cove Springs Police Department operates a part-time Marine Enforcement Unit to enforce local and state boater safety laws. The Marine Unit operates within the jurisdiction of the city waters and, under a mutual-aid agreement with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, in some neighboring unincorporated waters.
Records Section:
The Green Cove Springs Police Department’s Records Section responds to records requests made by citizens, attorneys, and the media alike. The Records Section falls under the command of the Administrative Division Lieutenant.
Communications Unit:
The Green Cove Springs Police Department’s Communications Section handles all emergency and non-emergency calls received by the City. The Communications Center is the lifeline and central hub of our department, and the communications officers are a vital component to our agency and community.
