Divisions and Units
The Crime Scene Unit
The Crime Scene Unit has three fully-equipped vehicles to respond to crime scenes and a CSI laboratory for crime scene processing.
Criminal Investigation Division
The Criminal Investigations Division consists of two units, the Property Crimes and Person Crimes Units. The Property Crimes Unit investigates property and miscellaneous crimes to include burglary, theft, auto theft, vandalism, harassing calls, arson, and fraud. This unit works in conjunction with the Road Patrol Division and P.R.I.M.E. Unit to investigate and arrest offenders.
Traffic Unit
The Miramar Police Department’s Traffic Unit’s primary goal is to promote the safe, expeditious flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic within the city.
The Victim Services Unit
The Victim Services Unit provides assistance to anyone who has been a victim or witness to a crime within the City of Miramar. The purpose of the unit is to assist victims in coping with the physical and psychological trauma that is often the result of crime victimization
