Administrative Bureau:
The Administrative Bureau consists of: Investigate complaints of officer misconduct, Reviews all Response to Resistance reports completed by officers and Performs unannounced Staff Inspections to ensure policies and procedures are being followed.
Professional Standards Division:
The Professional Standards Division includes Accreditation Programs, Records Section, Telecommunications, and Training.
Accreditation Administration:
Accreditation Administrator is responsible for monitoring the latest requirements and updating documentation to ensure that the North Port Police Department strictly adheres to Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation standards.
Records Section:
The Records Section is responsible for collecting, disseminating, maintaining, filing, and controlling departmental records through the use of automated electronic and hard file record-keeping systems.
Telecommunication:
The Public Safety Telecommunications Center’s responsibilities are answering and dispatching calls for service to the officers. The center is fully operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Patrol Division:
Road Patrol is the largest bureau in the department and is divided into four (4) patrol divisions each of which is commanded by a Police Commander.
Investigations Bureau:
