Escambia Regional Juvenile Detention Center is located in Pensacola, FL, and serves the counties of Escambia and Santa Rosa. This is a hardware secure facility with 50 beds, and it is a suburb of a metropolitan area, located in the North Region.
Cortez Bell is the Superintendent, and Sylvester Scott and Pam Nettles are the Assistant Superintendents. The detention center serves children in grades 5-12. It functions as an alternative school. As of the 2018-2019 school year, it had 56 students. Juveniles in this facility are provided with education, healthcare, mental healthcare, and drug abuse programs.
Visitation
Visitation is available on Tuesday and Saturday, with the schedule being dependent upon the mod assignment. Approved visitors are parents, grandparents, and legal guardians. Legal counsel, clergy, and law enforcement are also permitted to visit. Others may visit only with the approval of the superintendent or by court order. All visitors must sign in with photo ID. All visitors may be electronically searched and may not bring in personal items.
